Solution 05
Photographs of
your business.
Business Photography. Photographs of your own business — the room, the people, the thing you sell — commissioned for what you actually need rather than chosen from a stock library. Book a shoot on its own, or have it inside an ongoing retainer.
Not of somebody else’s. The room you actually work in, the people who actually answer the phone, the thing you actually sell — shot in person, and yours to keep.
And when you need more — a new room, a new face, a season you did not have last year — you say what the pictures are for and they get made for that.
Book a shoot on its own, or have it inside an ongoing retainer — where new pictures are part of the arrangement rather than a separate decision every time you need some.
01 — What this is
A stock photo is an invented testimonial you can see.
Solution 05 of 05 · the Be Trusted stage
Commercial photography for the business itself: the premises, the team, the work in progress, the product on the day it looked right. Shot on location, delivered in the sizes a website and a listing actually need, and licensed to you without expiry.
The argument for it is the same argument this whole site makes about everything else. We will not publish a review nobody wrote or a number nobody measured. A photograph of a stranger in a stock library, captioned as though it were your team, is the same claim in a different medium — and it is the one a customer catches fastest, because they have seen that face on four other websites.
What you get
- Your own frames. Nobody else is using them, because they are of you. That is the entire point and it is not a small one.
- Sized for the job. The site, the listings, the profiles and the print each want something different. Delivered that way rather than as one folder of enormous files.
- Yours outright. Licensed to you with no term, no renewal and no per-use fee. The same rule as everything else we build: you keep it if you stop working with us.
- Text where text belongs. Prices and services stay written on the page. A photograph makes a business look real; it cannot make a price readable to a machine, and we will not let it try.
Who shoots it
Segg Tan, who published his photography as Jose Tan, has photographed commercially since 2001 — fashion, advertising, portraits and weddings, first in Bangkok and then New York. He was nominated Best Fashion Photographer in Asia at the 2009 Tongue-in-Cheek Style Awards, placed runner-up in W Magazine’s The Shot in 2016, has shot for IAL Saatchi & Saatchi, and has served as official photographer for two Philippine state visits and for the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Washington, D.C. He is a member of the Professional Photographers of America.
The older work is published under Jose Tan, which is worth knowing if you go looking for it. It is the same person.
This is also why the service is booked in person rather than remotely, and why it is limited to the ground we actually cover: the San Francisco Bay Area, Silicon Valley and Napa Valley.
Common questions
Why not just use stock photography?
You can, and for some things it is fine. What it cannot do is prove anything. A customer deciding between you and someone down the road is looking for evidence that you are real and that the place is worth visiting, and a stock image is evidence of neither — particularly once they have seen the same face somewhere else.
It is also the one thing on a website that a person judges instantly and without effort.
What does it cost?
It depends on what is being shot and how much of it. Request an audit and we will price it against what you actually need. We do not publish a rate for work that is not the same twice.
Do we own the photographs?
Yes, licensed to you with no term and no per-use fee. Use them on the site, the listings, the profiles, in print, in an ad. The same rule as everything else we build: if you stop working with us, you keep what you paid for.
Do you have to come to us?
For this one, yes. It is the reason this service is limited to the San Francisco Bay Area, Silicon Valley and Napa Valley while the rest of what we do runs remotely.
How does this connect to the rest of it?
A photograph will not make you easier for an AI assistant to find, and we will not claim it does. What it does is the half that AI Visibility Strategy cannot: once someone has been pointed at you, it decides what they think in the first second. The written facts get you named; the photograph gets you chosen.

The audit covers the photographs too — what a customer sees first, and whether any of it is really you.
